It all started on a yellowed Compaq-486 running qBasic...
I loved how a single change could ripple through a codebase like an invisible force. And how patient, focused thinking could uncover patterns in the chaos.
That stuck with me: I care about abstractions that survive contact with reality, and engineering that holds up as well under load as it does on the whiteboard.
Today, I'm still basically that kid at the 486 — curious, methodical, and chasing the patterns that endure: under load, at scale, and in the wild… only now with way more compute and a deeper respect for race conditions. 😀️
