Hi. I'm Lennard.

I enjoy creative problem solving and technical data engineering.

I started out my professional career as a researcher / computational designer in the real-estate industry. Designing buildings was a childhood dream come true and I got write code for exciting projects like Singapore's Changi Terminal 4.

My skills and industry observations made me a "accidental entrepreneur". I co-founded and ran DigitalMatter for over half a decade. We were a BIM and Information Management Consultancy. I quickly learnt how to lead a technical team and grow a business! It was also during this time that I slowly began developing an interest in machine learning which would lead to my eventual departure from the slow-ish real estate for something with a faster feedback cycle.

I have since enjoyed working as an Growth engineer for SaaS product. I have a Bachelor of Architecture from SCI_arc in LA and a Masters of Computer Science from NUS in Singapore.

This site started out as a way to showcase my skills while transitioning from a traditional engineering role to something within the ML/DS space. It has served its purpose, and is now slowly becoming more of a digital garden. Thanks in part to posts like [this], [this], [this], and 1MB.club, I’ve become interested in ruthlessly minimizing web bloat. Aesthetically, the design has been inspired by what I come across on brutalistwebsites.com and my affinity for minimalism. If this is your first time stopping by, welcome! Below are a few of my favorite posts:
